SuhNie Scott

SuhNie Scott is a New Orleanian educator, musician, creative, and mother whose relationship with TrainingGrounds began long before joining the team. She first came to the We PLAY Center with her daughter, Aurora Rose, when she was just two months old. Through programs and resources like Bonding and Brain Building, Infant Massage, Baby Cafe, Parent Learning Opportunities, and developmental PLAY, TrainingGrounds became an important part of their village as they learned and grew together. Her lived experience with TrainingGrounds shapes the warmth and care she now brings to families from the other side of the front desk. 

SuhNie has a background in early childhood education and music education, with studies in Liberal Arts, Music Education, and Human Development and Family Studies. Her experience spans classroom and community education, music instruction, arts programming, family engagement, and administrative support. She believes creativity, connection, play, and emotional wellness are powerful tools for helping both children and the adults who care for them thrive.

You can find SuhNie smiling at the front desk, singing through the halls, creating something colorful, or sharing music and mindfulness tools with families. She is excited to continue giving back to a community that has been such a meaningful part of her own parenting journey.
