A donor-advised fund works much like a charitable giving account. You contribute assets such as cash, securities, or other investments to a sponsoring organization, which manages the fund. You can then recommend grants from your DAF to qualified charitable organizations, including TrainingGrounds.

Because you already received a tax deduction when you initially contributed money to your Donor-Advised Fund, the IRS does not allow us to issue a second tax receipt. Your DAF sponsoring organization (such as Fidelity Charitable or Schwab Charitable) will provide the official documentation you need for your records.

We encourage you to designate your grant to support all Traininggrounds work, as unrestricted funds allow us to deploy resources wherever the need is greatest. While you can use the widget's designation field to request a specific project, leaving the grant unrestricted provides our team with the vital flexibility to sustain all of our ongoing programs and operations.

It typically takes between a few business days and two weeks for the funds to arrive at Traininggrounds. While our online widget allows you to initiate the grant recommendation instantly, your DAF custodian must still review and approve the distribution. Once the electronic transfer clears or the check is processed, we will immediately credit the gift to your donor profit
