Angel Norwood-Collins, MPH, MS

Angel Norwood-Collins, MPH, MS is a native of Baton Rouge, LA. She has provided mental health services to children and families in hospitals, schools, universities, and community health centers. Angel obtained a BS in Psychology from Xavier University of Louisiana, a MPH from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, and is currently earning a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Howard University.

With over 10 years of experience as a therapist, Angel has passionately supported her clients with coping skills, relevant resources, and helpful strategies to enhance their mental and physical well-being. Prior to mental health service provision, Angel worked as an Infant and Preschool Teacher, interned as a research assistant at Tulane Early Childhood Collaborative (TECC), and worked as a Youth Support Specialist. She has also worked as a Family Resource Coordinator with Catholic Charities, where she connected families to resources they needed to thrive, such as housing and utility assistance. In addition, Angel has traveled abroad conducting Postpartum Depression research in Argentina and volunteering in Peace Corps Eswatini, Africa as a Community Health Worker. In her spare time, she enjoys going to aquariums, cooking, being in nature with her husband and toddler, and creating her own smoothie recipes.
